About

For over 25 years, I have helped singers overcome a myriad of obstacles.   Whatever you have in your way, I have probably helped someone else with the same issue.  My first student was a singer in one of my bands way back in 1974.  I began vocal coaching in Las Vegas in 1992, working mostly with professionals.

ABOUT CHUCK STEWART

Chuck Stewart has been called Renaissance Man. He is a composer, instrumentalist, singer, vocal coach, bandleader, actor, director, voiceover artist, commercial producer, writer, photographer, architect, engineer, builder, and visual artist.

Chuck grew up in a very small, quaint town in West Virginia, in a very musical family. His father, an engineer by profession, was a very accomplished musician, who played clarinet, drums, and piano. Chuck’s sister, a phenomenal pianist, was a child prodigy. His great aunt, a graduate of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, played piano to accompany silent movies in the 1920s. Chuck, himself, has been singing all his life. He began piano lessons at the age of eight and trombone lessons at the age of nine. He also plays piano, trumpet, guitar, bass, and drums, and is a composer and arranger. In addition, Chuck was an active thespian in high school, and stood out as having participated in more performances than any other student in the school’s history, as both an actor and a musician, including approximately 300 vocal performances. Chuck has also studied art and has done watercolor, drawing, and computer art.

Chuck attended Marshall University in West Virginia, after which he continued his music studies privately with some of the finest teachers in the world, studying in both Philadelphia and Las Vegas. He then went on the road with his own eight-piece band, touring twelve states in the Midwest and Southeast U.S. From there, he moved to Las Vegas, where he performed for eighteen years, singing in Las Vegas shows, playing trombone in some of the local big bands, and as a duo with his wife Sheree, a dancer and singer, working in major hotels. Later, the duo worked many venues in the Orlando, Florida area, where the couple ultimately relocated and raised their two daughters.

For three years in Las Vegas, Chuck also wrote, directed, and acted in radio plays, which were aired on local public radio. He did several voiceovers, radio commercials, delivering in the markets of Las Vegas, Nevada and in Orlando, Florida, as well as jingle production.

Chuck has written several publications and books, some of which are available on Amazon. He has also written two novels, four screenplays, and a musical stage play.

Along the way, Chuck has done extensive vocal coaching, using unique, innovative, and highly effective teaching methods; production, arranging; and composition, having written over 2,500 songs.  He has worked with several thousand students in Florida and in several foreign countries via the internet.  Some of his students have performed on Broadway, some have had recording contracts, and some have been on television in singing competition shows such as The Voice and Sing-Off.

Chuck believes in the old-fashioned way of developing an artist, but also feels that talented people should be able to get a leg up in the business, as long as they have done the work. Being prepared is part of paying the dues and earning the right to be on stage.

Chuck has travelled all over Europe, utilizing his highly trained eye in taking tens of thousands of photographs of architectural wonders, as well as feeding his passionate interest in foreign cultures and languages. He now makes his home in The Netherlands.
